If you have AXA health insurance and are planning to visit our chiropractic clinic, here’s what you need to know:
Important Information for AXA Policyholders
- Check Your Coverage: Before your visit, we recommend contacting AXA to confirm what your policy covers and to obtain your Policy and Claim details. This will help us bill AXA directly and avoid any delays. Since policies vary widely, we cannot guarantee that all treatments will be covered by AXA.
- Treatment Plans: Our clinic offers a variety of services, including Chiropractic Adjustments, Sports Massage, Posture Rehabilitation, and Nutrition Support. AXA often covers only Chiropractic Adjustments, so please verify with AXA if other treatments are included in your coverage before your appointment.
- Consultation Counts as a Treatment: Please note that your initial consultation will count as one of your covered treatments or be deducted from your claim’s total value.
- Partial Coverage: AXA may cover only part of your recommended treatment plan. Think of it as assistance in covering some of the costs, rather than full coverage for your entire plan.
- Shortfalls in Payments: If AXA does not fully cover the invoice (excluding cases of excess), you will be responsible for paying the outstanding balance directly to us.
Understanding your coverage ahead of time will ensure a smooth start to your treatment
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I pay my excess on my AXA insurance policy?
In most cases, you’ll pay your excess directly to Spinal Care Clinics after we receive confirmation from AXA. If you’ve already paid your excess to AXA, we may be able to receive the full invoice amount from them.
How many treatments can I receive on the same day?
Typically, AXA will only cover one treatment session per day. If you choose to have more than one treatment on the same day and AXA doesn’t cover it, you’ll need to pay the difference directly to the clinic. Please confirm this with AXA.
Will AXA pay the full cost for each of my treatments?
AXA generally covers the full cost for the agreed number of treatments. However, if there’s a limit on your coverage, you may need to pay the remaining balance for any treatments directly to the clinic.
Does my AXA policy renew yearly with fresh treatment credits?
AXA memberships usually renew annually. If your treatment plan extends from one policy year to the next, you may be able to use additional treatments. However, the clinic only receives information on the number of treatments or the total claim value you are authorized for, not the start and end dates of your policy.
We’re here to help you get the most out of your AXA coverage and ensure your treatment journey is as smooth as possible.
